Li Yun is a fictional character in the Water Margin, one of the Four Great Classical Novels of Chinese literature. He ranks 97th of the 108 Liangshan heroes and 61st of the 72 Earthly Fiends. He is nicknamed "Green Eyed Tiger".

The Water Margin describes Li Yun as a man with a broad face, thick eyebrows, a red beard and green eyes. He excels in martial arts, wields a saber in battle and can take on 30 to 50 enemies in a fight at the same time. He earns himself the nickname "Green Eyed Tiger". He works as a constable in the county office of Yishui County, Yizhou (in present-day Linyi, Shandong). He instructed Zhu Fu in martial arts before.
Li Kui falls into a trap set by Squire Cao and is captured. The magistrate is delighted when he hears that the outlaw has been captured. He sends Li Yun and some 30 soldiers to escort Li Kui back to the county office.
Zhu Fu and his brother Zhu Gui discuss how to rescue Li Kui. They conclude that they are no match for Li Yun in a fight and have to rescue Li Kui by trickery. The brothers prepare food and wine spiked with drugs that will knock out the consumer. They wait for Li Yun and his men to pass by and serve them the drugged food and wine under the pretext of congratulating Li Yun. Li Yun and his men are hungry and thirsty so they finish everything without suspecting anything. When Li Yun and his men are unconscious, the Zhu brothers free Li Kui. Li Kui kills the soldiers and he wants to kill Li Yun as well but Zhu Fu stops him, telling him that his teacher is a good man.
Li Yun regains consciousness later and he catches up with them. Li Yun and Li Kui start to fight and Zhu Fu stops them. Zhu succeeds in persuading Li Yun to join Liangshan as well.
Li Yun is placed in charge of overseeing the construction of buildings and living quarters for the Liangshan heroes after the Grand Assembly. He follows the heroes on their campaigns against the Liao invaders and southern rebel forces after they have been granted amnesty by the emperor. During the Fang La campaign, Li Yun is assigned to attack the enemy city of Shezhou (present-day She County, Anhui). He faces the enemy leader Wang Yin in battle and manages to corner Wang. However, Li Yun is at a disadvantage as he is on foot while Wang Yin is on horseback, and he is eventually trampled to death by Wang's horse.
